A downloadable game for macOS

This project uses Processing with javax.swing to deal with windows and irregular shaped windows. With that being said, it was an experiment that ended up being kind of incomplete. I was only able to do half of the song, and sometimes the input locks up to the point where the key dispatcher only recognizes Key Release commands for a reason that completely alludes me. Still, I'm submitting it to show that I did something for the Music Game Jam, even if it is in a very incomplete state.

The idea of the game is to try to have your hitbox avoid the many things that could get in your way. You move your character with Left and Right (or A and D), and you move your hitbox with Up and Down (or W and S). You can also jump by pressing X (or Space), or slow down by pressing Z (or Shift).

If you decide to record this game, make sure you record the whole screen.

The song that I used was Asteroid by Rameses B. You can find that here. You can also find it in his Non-Copyright playlist here.

I've also only tested this on a Mac. If you run Windows, know that this may break horribly.

--EDIT-- Turns out, the Windows versions don't actually work. I've hid the binaries for the Windows versions, and I'll try to see what's going on with them.

I hope you see what I was trying to go for, and I hope that it's a fun experience, regardless of some of the problems that you'll run into.

any luck on fixing the windows version? or do you have like, a playthrough video or something?  i'd love to see it, sounds really interesting!

Can confirm it doesn't work well in Windows. ( ·-·) The game crashes and error logs appear in the folder ("hs_err_pid4012.log" style).

Thanks for letting me know! I'll try to see what's going on with that. ...Sorry about that... :|
